Chapter Groups for Christian Writers Australia

Writers thrive when they find a supportive, like-minded network of fellow writers who ‘get’ them. Omega
Writers chapter groups are designed to provide connection, fellowship and encouragement for Christian writers
around Australia. You do not have to be a financial member to attend meetings, however some chapter groups
may hold special events (such as writing retreats) for members only.

Some groups meet in person and feature guest speakers and writing workshops. Other groups meet online and focus on a particular genre of writing. Find your group, connect with your people, and write on!
All the chapter groups are free to join, however some groups request a donation to support their local running costs or to pay for special events such as retreats or bookfairs. Ask the organiser.

“I found Omega Writers and really desperately needed that community. I loved the intersection
of faith and writing.”

Christian Editors Directory

We love editors! They sharpen our prose, keep us on track and fix our errors. Why do you need an editor? Simply put: editors, proofreaders and mentors make us more skilful writers.
Even if your mum or your neighbour or your best friend has an accurate eye for grammar and is really, really good at English, we still suggest that all writers work with an experienced editor. You’ll gain a new perspective on your work and, more importantly, your writing will be better.

Discover your next Christian editor, writing mentor or proof-reader from among our Omega Writers members here.

Do you have an editing, proofreading or mentoring service to list here? Contact us.

Writers need resources, and we’ve compiled a useful list below. If we’ve missed an organisation or website that you have found to be invaluable, please let us know about it!
