Omega Writers

Omega Writers is Australia’s Christian Writers Network

We provide inspiration, learning and encouragement for Christian writers in Australia and New Zealand who strive for excellence in their craft as well as faithfulness in their creativity.

Whether you’re an experienced writer or just starting out, Omega Writers is a Christian writers organisation for you.

“Writing is an isolating business. Finding others who can mentor, encourage, inspire you or cheer you along is really important. I think Omega Writers is a great organisation to be part of.” – Nicole Partridge

Join Christian writers from all over Australia as we learn together, encourage each other, and get inspired. The in-person conference takes place every two years with an online zoom weekend inbetween.

Our annual CALEB Prize for Christian writers opens in the first half of the year, with prizes announced at the annual conference or Zoom retreat. CALEB awards both published and unpublished works.

Writers need regular encouragement and growth. We facilitate a number of in-person and online groups around Australia, where you can learn, connect and grow with other Australian Christian writers.

Most first-time authors need an editor! Start with developmental editing, or the less expensive manuscript assessment before you even begin line editing or proofreading a manuscript – even if you’re on your fourth draft and you think it’s perfect. There is no point in line editing or copyediting a manuscript with fundamental plot or character flaws.
