CHRISTIAN WRITING IN A POST-CHRISTIAN WORLD – In ‘A Strange New World’, Carl Truman describes the years of process that has led us to a place where Christianity is no longer the dominant influence in Western Society – even in some circles being considered a harmful religion. For many of us, it is a strange new world, and we’ve seen the changes emerge in our lifetime. What does it mean for a Christian hoping to communicate the hope and love of God in a world which has become at best suspicious, and at worst aggressive towards the message of our faith?
HOPES, DREAMS, EXPECTATIONS AND DISAPPOINTMENTS – In this session, Meredith Resce will discuss the place where all writers start: the place of hopes and dreams. The journey from bright idea to published work is driven by expectations and if it’s a normal journey, will meet with obstacles, challenges, difficulties and sometimes perceived failures. Who is responsible for our success? What is success? How do we process perceived failures? With a panel of experienced authors, editors and an agent, dive deeper into understanding the process.
